Cricut Creations!!!

I have been having such fun with the Art Philosophy cartridge from Close to my Heart.
Here are some creations that I either cased from other consultants or looked in the idea book for inspiration!this Santa was cut out using pretty simple shapes and embellished with some of the new Glitz gel in stardust. Isn't he cute!!!

this little bag is a perfect way to give someone special a gift card or some homemade goodies. I used olive, cranberry and colonial white cardstock:

This Santa card was created with the Believe Workshop on the Go. I stamped the santa and then used my blender pen to colour in his suit for a more subtle look. you could also use markers for colouring.

this one was done with the wonderland paper pack:

I also used the new stamp set Remarkable Wreath and some new My Minds Eye Christmas paper to make this card. what I love about the remarkable wreath set is there are so many options to make a different type of card from one wreath!
thanks for looking at my creations. and if you would like a catalogue drop me a line at:

I created this card with a large su die.

Scrap~tures Birthday Celebration!!!!

Welcome to Scrap~tures Birthday Celebration blog hop!!
Thanks so much for joining us and we hope that you gain lots of inspiration and continue to hop with us!!
Scrap~tures turned one this month so the theme for this hop is BIRTHDAYS!!!!!

If you just happened by this blog and didn't realize a blog hop was taking
place, please go back to
Scrap~tures and start the Hop. You won't
want to miss all the inspiration from our team....... or the chance to win a prize :-)

I recently made this cake for a birthday celebration and it was easy and wonderful!

No fail Orange Cake
1 whole seedless orange including the peel, make sure you wash the orange well.
¾ cup melted butter or margarine
¾ cup milk
1 egg
In blender, chop the orange, add milk, butter and egg and blend well. In large bowl mix the following ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
½ cup currants (frozen blueberries or cranberries are good)
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
Add orange mixture to dry ingredients. Blend just enough to mix everything together and put in a buttered and floured Bundt pan or 9 x 9” pan. (I like the Bundt).
Bake at 350°F for 35 to 45 mins. until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Glaze:
½ tsp. orange rind
1 Tbsp. orange juice
2/3 cup icing sugar
(enough to make runny)
Mix together and pour over cake. You can use the blender since it's already out~

This blog hop will run from today, January 21st – January 23. We will be
drawing for winner February 1st, along with all the other draws.

Follow along in our blog hop! Your next stop is

Happy New Year!

wow it's been too long since I posted here, sorry everyone~

just wanted to let you all know that Scrap~tures is having a jam packed January!
check it out here: www.scraptures.ca
January 2011 is a special month here at Scrap~tures – we’re one year old! Party Thanks to your support and participation yourock we’ve had a great first year and want to show our gratitude by celebrating all month long with games, prizes, a blog hop, AVATAR challenges and lots of inspiration and fun!! whoo

We have been working hard behind the scenes to provide inspirational challenges, based on “traditional” anniversary gift lists, that will run all month long. For every challenge that you complete (and post in the particular challenge thread AND note in your “birthday book” (master challenge list thread) you can count a candle! Yes, that’s right, for every challenge you complete, you can take the little candle blinkie to put in your siggie line! How fun (and cute) is that? Smiley (and that's the answer to "why all the candles?" heehee

AND!! Party if that isn’t enough, we’re going to have an ANNIVERSARY CROP the weekend of January 21, 22 and 23 so mark your calendars and invite your friends! The crop challenges will start with an early bird challenge (you’ll love it, I guarantee it ;-) ) on Friday at noon and go all weekend long. whoo

The crop will give you many opportunities to gather more candles for your birthday book. Not to worry though, at the end of the month, we’ll give you some time to “catch your breath” and catch up with more candles if you want!! Cool

What? Why all the candles??? Because, February 1, we will announce our Anniversary Prize Winners! Yes plural!! There will be a grand prize and two runner-up prizes. Denise will be announcing how you can be eligible for the prizes so stay tuned and in the meantime, collect those candles! Yahoo

Come to the party and be ready to meet some “old” friends of ours who are celebrating with us this month and some of you will be surprised I'm sure by "who" you see.... Azn

Questions? Fire away or get out your adhesive and be ready to play the winter blahs away!! Let’s get going! Your first inspirational challenge is already posted in the team member forum! Go for it and let’s see what you’ve got. High Five

Your first January AVATAR challenge is to change up from Christmas to fireworks and other celebratory images! Let's see you get your PARTY ON!! :-)

NOTE: We realize that we’ve used the words ANNIVERSARY and BIRTHDAY inter-changeably in this letter, but just know that whatever you call it, it’s all going to be FUN! Yahoo
